Finnish Blueberry Pie
This Blueberry Pie or "Mustikkapiirakka" is an iconic Finnish dessert. The rich flavor of Finlandia Unsalted Butter makes the dish taste just like came from a Finnish farmhouse kitchen.
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups Blueberries
- 2 Egg
- 1 cup All-purpose flour
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp Vanilla
- 1 Imported butter bar, Unsalted
- 1/2 cup Imported butter bar, Unsalted
- 1 cup Sour cream
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Grease a 10-inch pie pan with Finlandia Unsalted Butter and set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together the 1/2 cup Finlandia Unsalted Butter and sugar. Add egg and vanilla extract; mix well.
- In a medium bowl, combine flour and baking powder. Add to butter mixture and mix well. Spoon batter into prepared pie pan, spread out evenly.
- Sprinkle blueberries evenly over the batter, all the way to the edge of the pan.
- In a large bowl, combine sour cream, sugar, egg and vanilla. Pour over blueberries.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the edges are browned and the middle is set.
